Our RYA Yachtmaster Theory module supports the theory areas of RYA Yachtmaster preparation, covering key subjects such as tides and currents, navigation and chartwork, Bridge equipment, environmental regulations, meteorology, communications, safety and stability.
Created in consultation with active RYA Yachtmaster examiners, the module is designed for candidates preparing seriously for Yachtmaster Coastal, Offshore or Ocean, as well as those who see Yachtmaster as part of a longer professional journey towards MCA OOW 3000gt Yachts and more advanced qualifications in the yachting sector.
The lessons are clear, practical and easy to revisit, with supporting materials and self-test questions to help you check your understanding as you study. You can access the module through our online platform or mobile app, including offline, making it easier to keep learning around sea time, travel and other commitments.
This module is intended to form part of our wider RYA Yachtmaster eLearning Prep Course, alongside our Interactive COLREGs Course, Interactive Buoyage Course and COLREGs Audio Book. Bought on its own, it is useful for candidates who already have access to those supporting courses or who only want help with the Yachtmaster theory content.
NB - This product is designed to support the theory side of RYA Yachtmaster preparation. It does not replace practical training, qualifying sea time, vessel-handling experience or assessment with an RYA examiner, and does not result in the issue of RYA certification.

Really useful, I used the AI podcast a lot, the 1-2-1 sessions with the experienced tutors were timed just right and were really useful to practice the potential answers and the style of delivery. Excellent oral prep, I have recently used Whitehorse for my Master Unlimited and a few years back for Chief Mate. Their new AI podcasts are a great addition for when you are in the car, out for a walk, just stick one on and you are still studying! Highly recommend.
