For most candidates, the full prep course is the best-value place to start, bringing together everything Whitehorse offers for your exam in one package. We’ll provide guidance on how to work through the material and when it may be useful to add small-group clinics, private sessions and mock oral practice. If you’re unsure what you need, get in touch and we’ll help you choose the right starting point.

No. Our Path to Pass system is designed to give you a complete preparation strategy, not lock you into a rigid programme. Most candidates benefit from combining our eLearning prep courses with sessions but you're welcome to just stick with the eLearning, if you prefer.

No. Small-group clinics, private sessions and mock orals are booked separately, giving you maximum control over your preparation. This means you only pay for the support you need and can build your prep plan around your existing knowledge, availability and budget rather than paying for an expensive, fixed package of tutoring.

Yes. You’ll have opportunities to connect with other candidates through our WhatsApp study groups and, for Deck candidates, in our small-group clinics. This gives you the chance to discuss difficult topics and practice with your peers as you prepare.

Our eLearning is accessible through our online learning platform, either via your web browser or through the mobile app. This allows you to study on your computer, tablet or phone, depending on what works best for you.

Yes. App access is included and most lessons can be downloaded for offline study. This is useful if you are at sea, travelling or based somewhere with unreliable internet access.

WhitehorseAI is an AI-powered learning system designed to support your exam prep. Where featured, it includes podcast-style audio content for a flexible way to learn and revisit key topics, along with access to our WhitehorseAI Personal Tutor, which can help answer questions, explain concepts and test your understanding using our regularly reviewed course materials as its foundation.

Our eLearning modules are developed by Master Mariners, Chief Engineers and other subject specialists. The aim is to give you clear, practical explanations from people who understand both the subject matter and the standard expected in professional maritime exams.

Yes. We regularly review and update our modules to reflect changes in regulations, guidance and industry practice. The lessons also include links to useful source material, such as MCA Marine Notices, IMO publications and other relevant guidance.

No. Our eLearning modules are developed by Master Mariners, Chief Engineers and other subject specialists. Where featured, WhitehorseAI uses those up-to-date modules as its foundation and the podcasts are thoroughly checked for accuracy before being launched.
